Dear JSA Members,
Welcome to the 2014-15 season of the Jaguar Sports Association. We are excited to kick off another, what we hope will be, successful sports season at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church. The JSA Board of Directors has been hard at work to get the new sports year kicked off and I wanted to personally thank them for their hard work thus far.
I’d also like to thank outgoing president, Mark Tummillo for leading the association the past two years and leaving it in great shape.
Thanks to all of you whose children will be participating in soccer, cross country and volleyball this fall.
Great job and a big thank you to everyone who helped out with soccer evals and field clean-up day on August 16. Field looks great and ready for some exciting matches.
Thanks to AD Trish Marmion, Soccer Directors, Erin Schlader & Brian Knott and Director of Field Maintenance, Jeep Haley, for all their efforts.
Concession Stand – (Volunteers Needed!!)
JSA is looking for someone to take the lead on helping us organize and manage the operations of the soccer field concession stand during home games this season. If you are interested in assisting in this please let me or Trish know ASAP.
Thanks to director Brandan Brown for growing the JSA volleyball program from 1 team last year to 3 teams this season! Congrats also for his appointment as Commissioner of the CMVL
Coach Rami Odeh has the team working hard to get ready for the season. Practices will be after school on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s and volunteers are needed to assist as course monitors. Please sign up via Sign-up Genius
Registration for basketball will open very soon and because space on each team is limited I encourage you to register right away to ensure your child’s spot. Thanks to Ward Parker for taking over this year as our new basketball director.
One of our goals this year is to provide you with additional communications to keep you updated on JSA offerings and events. Our director of PR and Communication, Scott Sergent will be working with coaches from each sport to provide us with game reports and pictures so we can share the excitement with all of our members throughout the season. This of course will only work with everyone’s support and cooperation. If interested in helping out with this for your Child’s team, please let your coach know.
And finally, a great big THANK YOU to Patricia Marmion, JSA’s Athletic Director. Trish puts in countless hours to ensure that you and your family have a good experience when participating in JSA sports. We could not run the successful programs that we do without her dedication and support.
Good luck in all the sports you play this season and please reach out anytime we can be of assistance.
