Welcome to Saint Jude Athletics!  Home of the Jaguars! 

Saint Jude Athletics, part of the Youth Ministry of Saint Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, manages the youth sports programs for the parish. Saint Jude Athletics promotes Christian ideals in our sports programs and encourages family and parental participation while enhancing athletic opportunities for our children. Soccer, Cross Country, Baseball, Basketball, Volleyball, Golf, Tennis, and Cheerleading are open to all children of the school and parish.

FALL SPORTS

Cross Country:

Cross Country is offered for boys and girls in grades 6-8.  Runners compete in meets against other Middle Schools in the metro Atlanta area. 

Volleyball: 
Volleyball is offered for girls in grades 5-8.  Girls compete in the Catholic Metro Volleyball League (CMVL) with games played against other Catholic schools in the archdiocese.

Soccer:

Boys and girls in Grades K-8 participate in the Catholic Metro Soccer League (CMSL). Games are played both at home and away at Catholic schools in the archdiocese.

Pre-K boys and girls play intramural games at St. Jude School on Saturday mornings on the St. Jude soccer Field.  

WINTER SPORTS

Basketball:

Basketball starts in Kindergarten, with a K-2 program for boys and girls, covering the  fundamentals of the game. All K-2 games are played at the Saint Jude Gymnasium on Sundays.

In grades 3-8, students participate in the Catholic Metro League of Atlanta (CMLA)with games played against other Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Atlanta.

School Travel Teams: 7th and 8th grade boys and 8th grade girls who are students at Saint Jude School are eligible to try-out and play on these select and highly competitive teams. Boys’ teams play in the Atlanta Middle School League. 

8th grade boys and girls who are students at Saint Jude School are eligible to participate in the annual Shamrock Tournament in Charlotte, NC, each year.

High School: Saint Jude Athletics participates in the CMLA High School league with play beginning in January.

Cheerleading/Spirit Squad

Middle School (grades 6– 8) and Junior Cheer (grades 4– 5) squads perform at home basketball games.

8th grade spirit squad members who are Saint Jude School students are eligible to participate in the annual Shamrock Tournament in Charlotte, NC, each year.

SPRING SPORTS

Baseball: 

Middle School boys participate in the Dunwoody Senior Baseball Middle school league with play between February and April.

Junior Golf:

Golf lessons are offered for students in grades K-4  through  Elementary Golf LLC. Lessons take place on the Saint Jude soccer field.

Middle school golfers compete in tournament golf against other Middle school teams at Steel Canyon Golf Course. 

Junior Tennis:

We offer the Quickstart Tennis program for students in grades K-4 . Instruction takes place in the Saint Jude Gymnasium.
